OOOoo,
we had a grea time in Dallas, all the lovelies were out and we sat in with the Picassos and Giacometis
Thanks to Dana Mullins (center) for having the vision and inviting us to show at this countries most prestigious sculpture center, and to Raymond Nasher (right) for his patronage to the arts.
We set the show up on the Wednesday and Thursday, early friday morning we were off to the TV studios for a breakfast show slot with channel 8 with Garry Cogill
The show looked beautiful in the museum setting and later that evening about 300 invited guests joined us for Peroni and Pizza, Mr Wolfgang Puck doing the nosh.
We showed some new work by New York based Cory Ingram whose Crude range of anti perfume seemed perfect for Dallas.
for your information, Cory is the one in the middle, the other two cuties are CITIZEN:Citizen hangers on.
Of course we had to go and try out Dallas, the in place at the moment is the W, and it's oddly named rooftop bar The Ghost Bar. All I can say is don't bother, it reminded me of some 1980's Spanish tourist disco, without the irony, where the hell are you going W, I mean do you want some help, cos I know a lot of people who could come in and help you with the design, big up to the concierge Nicole who gave us the low down on the rest of the city though,
one stop for sure must be Lee Harveys, which is a house south of the city located on a corner plot with dusty yard and braziers burning along with some 300 people having a ho-down to some fantastic Ghost White Shivers , there was a great mix of peeps, crazy goth girls who let their smile through, bikers not on acid, crazy cute boys and girls, and let me tell you it was lovely to see a mix of people, we met a lawyer and a pilot there too. Still not very racially mixed, but that's the story all over the States, still can't figure that one out.
So, Thanks Dallas, we had a great time, oh, and once again, don't bother with the W, what can I say, terrible
