FredricksonStallard's Rorschach-shaped Felt #2 is a rug. Innately psychological in its shape, the black wool piece changes function and meaning in this photograph, as it hangs on the wall. The function becomes purely visual. To an uninformed visitor in this space and context, its original purpose may be completely imperceptible as well as unimportant. In the photograph, each object has an unused function (apart from the painting which hangs on the wall).
Objectively speaking and in short, this is a shot from The Apartment, a gallery in New York where CITIZEN:Citizen showed during the May 2006 Design Week.
